Enjoy a few moments to refresh! In this mindfulness class, students will be guided in seated movement to activate the body, breathing exercises to quiet the mind and sitting in stillness to relax the nervous system. Students practice observing their present moment experiences without judgement. Practicing these mindfulness techniques helps to enhance the student's sense of overall wellbeing by integrating body, mind and spirit.

Class begins with 3 centering breaths and often an explanation of a mindfulness theme for the class. The body is warmed up with simple seated exercises followed by some yoga inspired activities. Specific breathing techniques are introduced and opportunity to reflect on one's experiences are encouraged throughout the class. Lastly, students are asked to sit in stillness for some personal reflection and relaxation.
